Incentive, the reason we do the things we do. You started martial arts for a reason, to learn self defense, to become more fit, to gain knowledge of a lost art, etc. Whatever your reason, it has likely changed or grown or you’ve added more and when you talk to other people, you are proud of your reasons and speak volumes about them. What happens when you are on your physical test and that last pushup is just out of reach? That is the time your reasons should come to mind.
Why are you here? Why are you putting your body through all this? What are you doing to yourself? You want to learn self defense, you want to become stronger, you want to be more fit. Incentive drives us forward. The reason we do the things we do are the rewards at the end. You will be able to defend yourself. You will be stronger. You will be more fit. When it becomes difficult, go back to the reasons why and remember the rewards. Imagine yourself with those rewards and that last push up will come.
Train hard,
