Patience is the calm acceptance that things can happen in a different order than the one you have in mind.”

David G. Allen

Calmness. No conflict, no worry. At peace. Passive. One of the most difficult things in the world is to calm your mind when you are waiting for something. That in itself creates a conflict between you and your chatterbox mind. There is no calm there. Accepting that your mind will wander and assault you with thoughts during your process, and then remembering that they are only thoughts and that they don’t control you, will go a long way towards developing patience and that inner calm that comes with it.

Your goals should always be kept in mind but the thoughts that keep you from achieving them are only there to remind you to be aware of obstacles and allow you to find a way around them, not to stop you. Allowing them to show up, say their piece, and let them go will help you keep calm during the most difficult portions of your journey and allow you to develop the patience required to see the final results as well as the changes you have made along the way.

Take care in your training and allow yourself to be patient with your mind and calm will come naturally.

Train hard,
