As May comes upon us, it seems that the April rains haven’t yet accomplished what they set out to do. For them, they have not yet achieved Success, our Word of the Month. What is success really? For each and every one of us, how we measure success is based on circumstance and perspective. Is a rich business professional more successful than a janitor who struggles to make ends meet? That depends on your perspective. Though the business professional may have a lot of money, their hard work may have cost them a social life, their health, or any number of things. Yet, they may consider themselves successful because they have enough money to live on and then some. What of the janitor? Perhaps they feel successful simply because they are able to put a roof over the heads of their family and food on the table. Success is simply achieving the goals you set for yourself. That alone is the measure of success. When looking at how well you have done, measure what you have accomplished, not what others have. They are not on your path and you are not on theirs.
This month, weather permitting of course, we have started having outdoor classes at the Twin Fields Park in Coon Rapids. If you’ve ever wanted to train outside, now is the time to try it out. This is on Fridays at 7pm. Our Little Tigers program is scheduled to end this session on June 6th, 2019, so there is plenty of time to get those little ones started on Kung Fu lessons that will help them grow into strong and confident children. Stop in any time to get registered and start classes right away. This is on Thursdays at 7pm in the Adams Elementary Gymnasium in Coon Rapids. As always, our Saturday afternoon Kung Fu classes for all ages are ongoing and if you are new to us, you are welcome to come in and try out a free class. This is at the Rising Sun Martial Arts Studio in St Paul.
The Young Americans Karate classes are winding down for this session as we prepare for testing and graduation. The Summer session will start again June 11th, 2019 for Logan Park and on June 12th, 2019 for Dayton’s Bluff.
As always, we endeavor to bring you the best martial arts classes to cover your needs and help you achieve your goals. If you have any questions or suggestions that may help us do just that, feel free to contact us. Thank you for keeping martial arts alive and well.
