Summer is officially here and that means we are on Summer Uniform rules. That means you do not have to wear your uniform top, only your school tshirt. That also means to take extra care to make sure you bring water to all classes. Heat exhaustion is very real and can be very dangerous. Please make sure to take special care, whether at class or other outdoor activities to keep yourself safe from heat.
In a couple of weeks, our Young Americans Self Defense classes will be registering for the Summer semester. Please make to join us with your little ones so they too can enjoy the benefits of martial arts training.
We are also still holding outdoor classes at Twin Fields Park in Coon Rapids as well as our Saturday classes at Rising Sun Martial Arts. If you don’t yet have plans for your Summer Workout program, now’s the time to come and try a class.
Next, our word for this month is Loyalty and I want to take this time to thank each and every one of our students who are still with us and staying the course. Martial arts is hard and the longer you stay with it, the more difficult it gets. Those of you who have been with us the longest definitely know this first hand. That said, you may have noticed that the longer you are with something, the more it becomes a part of you. Being loyal to your school also means that your school is loyal to you. You come to class to learn, the school does it’s best to make sure you are getting what you need out of each and every class. This loyalty goes a long way to making the school better because as each student gets better, the school itself improves with them. Something to think about during your next class.
Train hard,
Head Instructor Shawn Morris
