Word of the Week, December 6th, 2018

This week’s word is Body, in relation to our word of the month, Balance. What does balance in the body mean? Is it simply the ability to not fall when you stand on one foot? While that is a worthwhile effort, especially for a martial artist, it is not what we are talking about here.

Balance in the body means taking care of it. It means making sure to check what you put into your body to keep it running smoothly and also making sure to exercise to burn off any excess as well as keep your body in the best shape it can be.

There are many diets and exercise programs, martial arts being my favorite, but you have to choose what is right for you and your body. With the help of your doctor, you can come up with a plan that you will be able to stick with and work toward being in the best health you can so that you can enjoy the life you live.
